Group Facilitation Volunteer

Group sessions generally focus on specific topics including critical thinking, personal growth, independent living skills, anger management, conflict resolution, goal setting, and peer pressure. These topics are often examined through diverse activities such as art and music appreciation, cooking, and guest presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Commit to 2 group cycles during 6 months (days and times vary)
  • Groups are 2 hours each week
  • May require some outside of group preparation time - depending on your interest and ability
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must be able to attend all dates of each group cycle
  • Open to feedback on your progress
  • Must complete 30 hours of training

Duties:

  • Assist staff in facilitation group sessions with youth
  • May require some outside of group preparation time - depending on your interest and ability
